Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Stancodes, the developer of MrPet, handles information when you use the app.

Information MrPet handles

  • Account information: your email address and a sign-in identifier from email, Sign in with Apple, or Google sign-in.
  • Pet profiles: names, photos, species, breed, age, measurements and other details you enter.
  • Daily check-ins, care entries, reminders, medical records and notes, vaccination information, and photos or PDF documents you upload.
  • Questions, selected profile context, photos or documents you send to an AI feature, and the AI results saved in the app.
  • Usage counters, such as how many AI credits you have used and when, so plan limits can be applied.
  • A notification token for your device, if you allow notifications, so reminders and push messages can be delivered.
  • Subscription status and entitlement information received through Apple. Stancodes does not receive your payment card details.

On your device

MrPet also keeps a copy of your data on your device so the app works quickly and shows your records offline. Reminders and messages from your pet are scheduled locally on your device.

How information is used

We use this information to create and sync your account, show your pet-care records, send reminders, provide features you request, apply plan limits, verify subscription access, prevent misuse, fix technical failures, and respond to support requests. We do not use it for advertising.

Services that process data

  • Firebase by Google provides sign-in, the cloud database, file storage, server functions, App Check and push notifications.
  • Apple App Attest (through Firebase App Check) helps confirm that requests come from the genuine MrPet app.
  • OpenAI API processes the text, profile context, image or document you choose to send when you run an AI feature. Our server sends it; the app itself contains no AI key.
  • Apple processes App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple. Google processes Google sign-in.
  • MrPet has no advertising SDKs, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Stancodes does not sell your personal information.

AI features

Data is sent to the AI service only when you choose to run an AI feature, and the app asks for your consent before sending a photo. Avoid including unrelated personal information in a question or document. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and is not a veterinary diagnosis, medical advice, or emergency service. Content sent to OpenAI is handled under OpenAI’s own terms and retention rules; it is not part of the MrPet cloud data we delete with your account.

Storage and retention

Cloud data stays linked to your account until you delete an item or the account. A medical-record AI follow-up session is available for 24 hours; its saved report stays with that record until the record or account is deleted. Hosting and cloud providers may keep standard technical logs for a limited time.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual pets, records, reminders and entries in MrPet. To delete your whole account, open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm; if you signed in with Apple you will also verify with Apple so the sign-in can be revoked. Deletion removes your sign-in account, Firestore data, uploaded files, notification tokens and subscription record in MrPet, and clears MrPet data stored on your device. See the Delete account page for the full steps. Apple keeps purchase history under its own policies, and deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Security and international processing

MrPet uses signed-in access, server-side authorization rules and encrypted connections. No service can guarantee absolute security. Firebase, OpenAI, Apple and Google may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards and terms.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you.

Website analytics and cookies

The MrPet app uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous product statistics: which screens and features are used, where people reach the paywall, and whether a purchase or notification tap happens. It never sends pet names, photos, health text or questions, and it does not use the advertising identifier. You can turn it off in Profile → “Help improve MrPet”. This website (stancodes.com) can use Google Analytics, but only if you accept cookies in the banner.

If you accept, Google Analytics records the pages you view, your approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address, which is not stored in full), device and browser type, language, how you arrived (for example a link or search) and how long you stay. We use this only to understand how the site is used and to improve it. It is not used for advertising, not used to identify you personally, and not linked to your MrPet account.

Cookies set only if you accept: _ga and _ga_* (up to 2 years). If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the page footer.
